Fees (2010/11)

Note:

All lessons are booked for the academic year.

Students wishing to discontinue individual or shared individual tuition must give a half-term's notice, or fees will be payable for the whole of that half term.

Fees for individual tuition and group activities are calculated on a termly basis. Instalment payments can be made by arrangement (see note below).

Term lengths and fees

For the 2010/11 term dates see here. A copy of the printed timetable in pdf format can be downloaded here (new window/tab).

Term lengths are as follows:
Autumn term: 12 weeks
Spring term: 12 weeks
Summer term: 10 weeks

Fees for individual lessons for a full term should be calculated as follows:

15 minute lesson: £8.30 per lesson
30 minute lesson: £16.60 per lesson

Please note that the level of fees will be reviewed on a termly basis

Cheques should be made payable to Stratford Music Centre Limited or (SMC Limited)

Groups

On the various pages on this site dealing with group activities you will find the weekly rate applicable to each group. There are no changes in the group rates this year but again these are kept under review on a termly basis.

Examination accompaniment:

£20 including 1 rehearsal (Grade VIII £40). Additional rehearsals can be arranged if necessary and will be charged extra - to be arranged directly with the accompanist. The higher costs for Grade VIII reflect longer rehearsal time allowed and also preparation time prior to rehearsal for the accompanist.

Payment by instalments

Arrangements can be made for fees to be paid in instalments, eg weekly or monthly. In such cases we would remind students/parents that fees are payable for the full term and must continue to be paid if a lesson is missed.

Fee remission: Please enquire in confidence to the Centre office.

Disclaimer:

A minimum number of students is needed for a class to run. If the number of students falls below that minimum, an adjustment in fees may be necessary, or students moved to another class.
