Have you ever wanted to be able to improvise? To know how musicians can seemingly 'make it up' on the spot? Or just keen to know more and build on the skills you already have? With this new group we are offering an easy to understand pathway into the world of improvisation in a relaxed and friendly environment. The group is open to anyone on any instrument, any level from beginner to advanced, and any style of music. The ideas and techniques are applicable to almost every style and genre of music. Things that we will cover include;
Anyone can do it: improvising should not be daunting or scary. You'll be surprised how far you can go!
Always wanted to form a band but never got round to it? Let us help you out! Our experienced tutors will guide you through the process of learning songs and playing together as a group, ready to perform live at the end of term!
Some playing experience is preferred but not essential and we have places for,
If you play another instrument that is not listed then let us know and we will endeavour to fit you in if we can! We work through many different themes, so all musical tastes can be catered for.
